Most people traveling to UAE prefer their T-Mobile to the local SIM Cards. I have been to UAE a few times and most of the time I used my T-Mobile.
But does T-Mobile have good coverage in the United Arab Emirates?
This article will help answer this and the following questions:
- How is T-Mobile’s service in UAE?
- What speeds do you typically get when using T-Mobile in UAE?
- How much will it cost you to text and call with your T-Mobile in UAE?
How is T-Mobile’s service in UAE?
T-Mobile has great coverage everywhere in UAE. I used T-Mobile with either Etisalat or Du to roam.

What data speeds do you typically get when using T-Mobile in UAE?
T-Mobile offers free 2G speed on the Simple Global plans. However, it can also be very slow.
Therefore, if you are planning to use T-Mobile data in UAE I’d recommend you get T-Mobile International Pass for faster speeds.
T-Mobile has three International Pass options that you can choose from:
International Pass | Price | To Be Used In | |
1. | 512MB high-speed International Pass with up to LTE speeds and unlimited calling. | $5/day | 24 hours |
2. | 5GB high-speed International Pass with up to LTE speeds and unlimited calling. | $35 | 10 Days |
3. | 15GB high-speed International Pass with up to LTE speeds and unlimited calling. | $50 | 30 Days |
