1. Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

This Aerial Tramway is the world’s largest rotating Tramcar. It carries a maximum of 80 passengers.

It will take you from the desert floor to the top of the mountains a distance of about 2 and a half miles.

You get to enjoy great breathtaking scenic views, restaurants, nature exhibits, and so much more in approximately 10 minutes.

What if you are afraid of heights?

If you are afraid of heights, I would recommend you stay in the middle of the tramcar.

After stopping at the mountain, here are some fun and interesting things that you will get to enjoy:

Once you get the chance to visit this place, be sure to check out the amazing seven sisters waterfall and the Victor Beautiful Scenery.

5. Cabot’s Pueblo Museum

During my visit to Palm Springs, I enjoyed my visit to the Cobot’s Pueblo Museum because it was very unique in many ways.

I loved how the doors, windows, and old telephones were creatively designed. 

The museum will take you back over 100 years in time.

You will hear of the story of Cabot Yerxa and his family from Dakota Territory to Cuba, Mexico, Alaska, throughout California, and the founding of the Desert Hot Springs in California.

6. Palm Springs Air Museum

At the Palm Springs Air Museum, you will get an up-close look at the bombers of Korea, Vietnam, and WWII and the legendary fighters during this time.

If you have an interest in Aviation, Palm Springs Air Museum will is a great place to visit because the museum will educate you about American aviation.

Additionally, you will get to see Exhibits and aircraft from World War 2 and Vietnam, and the North Korea war.

This is definitely the home to the World’s largest flyable aircraft from these wars.

What I love most about these exhibits is that you are allowed to go inside these aircraft and even sit in the cockpit.

While I was there, I got to climb and sit in the cockpit of a B-17. That was an amazing feeling.

You will also get to interact with veterans, who share their experiences and access to library resources that will educate you more about American Aviation history.

7. Tahquitz Canyon

This canyon is very close to Palms Springs downtown.

It is the home to a very beautiful seasonal waterfall that is about 60ft.

At the Tahquitz Canyon you will find:

  • Rock art.
  • Native wildlife.
  • Ancient irrigation system.

Other outdoor activities

  • Nature walks
  • Hiking/rock climbing
  • Palm Springs is a golfers’ paradise

If you’ve not been here before, I’d highly recommend taking a guided tour. It’s the best way to get a sense of the history and local culture.

8. Walk Downtown Palm Springs

This is a great place to walk around as you explore different gift shops, casinos, museums, and walk tours.

Get to enjoy the Mid Century Modern Architecture. 

Palm Springs is famous for its architecture. It has the largest collection of mid-century modern architecture in the USA.

In fact, Palm Spring has events that feature mid-century designs, art, architecture, modern garden tours, fashion, and culture. 

It also has an annual mid-century modern architecture 1-week event, usually in February every year and another one in October.

9. Coachella Valley Preserve

The Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve was the favorite place I visited in Coachella Valley Preserve.

The preserve protects endangered species.

This preserve also has the following:

  • Great walking trails.
  • San Andreas Fault.
  • It is home to many beautiful and major birds, plants, and animals.
  • It has lots of cultural and geological history.

10. Moorten Botanical Garden

14. Marvyn’s Magic Theater

This was indeed a World-Class Theatre with a great variety of acts and comedy. To me, this was quite a lovely experience. I enjoyed every moment in the theatre.

Most of the performances went for about 75 minutes which was plenty of time for good entertainment.

15. Coachella

If you love music and good fancy art, you’ll love the Coachella Music and Arts Festival.

What’s fun about this festival is everything from the music, lots of food to try out, drinking, dancing, camping, and just the whole vibe of California summer.

16. The Golf Courses PGA & LPGA Tournaments

Palm Springs is among the top places in the world that has a high concentration of Golf Courses in World.

You can test your skills on these Palm Springs Golf Courses with celebrities. 

What I love most about these golf courses is the fact that they have very beautiful views, including the mountain views.

17. Indian Wells Tennis Gardens

This is a tennis facility located in Indian Wells. 

You can visit the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens to see major International Tennis Tournaments or to play.

It has over 25 Tennis courses on approximately 88 acres of land.

They also offer clinics for those interested in Tennis.

Polo grounds have both local and international tournaments throughout the year.

This was the home to one of the most iconic rock stars of all time, Elvis and Priscilla. 

Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway is the place where Elvis and Priscilla lived and honeymooned after their wedding in 1967.

The house is very iconic due to its design with an architecture of different shapes and structures.
